From Snapshots to Art: Custom Keepsake Portraits
Not everyone has a professional portrait of the people and pets they love. Sometimes all that's left are a few snapshots: a small print from years ago, a phone photo, a picture taken on the couch. As a portrait artist, one of the most meaningful things I do is turn those small memories into a piece of art for your home.
From an Album of Prints to One Art Piece
One client brought me a whole album with more than 100 4×6 prints. Of all those pictures, only two were truly special to her. I restored them and combined them into a single art piece. Before I started, she showed me her living room and the exact wall where it would hang, so I could design the size, colors and finish to belong in that space.
Bringing Two Beloved Pets Together
Another client came to me after her sister lost her two dogs. She had pictures of each of them, but they were taken in completely different places: one on the couch, the other outside. I combined them into one portrait, together again, set in a forest scene inspired by the landscape of the state where her sister lives. We finished it as a painterly canvas, and I shipped it directly to her. It turned out beautifully and became a gift she will treasure for years.
